The new subway passing underneath the nearby road and railway is now completed. This pedestrian subway allows our guests - accommodated in Villa Raniero - to reach the seashore covering only a 100 m (110 yd) walk, while from Villa Eugenia the new path is just 50 metres (55 yd).
The agritourism called "Mare in Campagna" was born out of our desire to carefully develop a delightful place that is not only located next to the Adriatic Sea but still maintains its rural character, typical of the agricultural spirit. Mare in Campagna is located in the Marches, a region of central Italy where traditions and culture are still active and alive. Here, you can enjoy the unpolluted nature and relieve your stress in the countryside between the green meadows and the blue sea.

Our property is located between Porto San Giorgio and San Benedetto del Tronto, in the Roman territory of Campofilone, a very nice village nestled into the deep green hills of Marches and famous for its delicious "maccheroncini". In only a few minutes on foot you will reach a wide and quiet beach; recently the sea has been awarded a Blue Flag by the European Union, and it offers shallow depths and fine sand. The fields grow grain and barley; there are fruit and olive trees, as well as vineyards. The farmyard animals and the friendliness of the people will let you spend relaxing days and re-discover tastes and smell, colours and images nearly forgotten.

The environment, including ancient farm houses, well maintained and lovingly cultivated, offer you direct contact with the typical products of Marches agriculture such as extra-virgin olive oil, fruit, jams, vegetables, wine... Moreover you can easily visit the historical centres of our region: Ascoli Piceno, Ripatransone, Fermo, Offida...

And did you know that in this part of Italy, the sun rises out of the sea? Here you can enjoy this marvelous spectacle every morning.
In our restaurant, we are currently offering our "Zero Kilometer Menu"*, (but only in the weekend) which features products exclusively from our own or trusted neighbors' farms including fresh pasta and home-made desserts with eggs of our henhouse and organic flour. Of particular interest is our cold-pressed extra-virgin olive oil from our organic groves. This olive oil is a bouquet of more than ten varieties of olives harvested from plants grown without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. We only serve fixed menu prepared according to the seasonal products, which means high quality catering at affordable prices. The restourant is open for dinner and only in the weekend.Reservation is necessary.
* This is an Italian initiative that supports the use of locally grown agricultural products and thereby the reduction of costs and pollution due to unnecessary transport.
